Instrumentation and Measurement Laboratory (Instrumentation Laboratory) is one of the laboratories in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya. This laboratory was established in 1987, in conjunction with the year of the first batch of students majoring in Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya. Starting from that year, the Instrumentation laboratory was located on the 2nd floor of the Physics Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Building and starting in 2016, this laboratory occupies a room on the 3rd floor of the Biomol Building. The main purpose of this laboratory is to serve student practicum activities. However, since the establishment of this laboratory, activities in this laboratory also include lecturer research activities, undergraduate student research and teaching activities such as workshops, tutorials and demos. Since the existence of S2 students in the Department of Physics, This laboratory has also become a place for research activities for several students who are in the field of instrumentation interest. The Instrumentation Laboratory is also the main place for students of the Instrumentation study program as well as students who are interested in the Instrumentation field to improve practical skills and knowledge. This is evidenced by the existence of several routine activities held by the Instrumentation student group (IMFI: Instrumentation Physics Student Association) in the form of workshops, guest lectures, tutorials and demos in this laboratory which are coordinated by the students themselves.
